Q: What are the age breakdowns for the State Shoot?
A: Each event has age breakdowns for Senior, Junior and Sub-Juniors. The best place to view these are in the rules rules for the particular event. Archery and Junior Hunting Rifle have even more age breakdowns. You can view the current rules under the State Shoot Info. page of this website. You can also view them in the Resources page.

Q: Do teams have to shoot shoulder to shoulder?
A: Most team events, the team have to shoot shoulder to shoulder unless so noted in their rules.

Q: Can SCTP Teams participate in the Michigan Shooting Clubs State Shoot?
A: Yes SCTP Teams can participate in the Michigan Shooting Clubs State Shoot. They do have to comply with the shoot's age breakdowns.

Q: Can a participant represent more than one club?
A: No, you can only represent one club.

Q: Do you have to pre-register?
A: It is highly suggested to pre-register for all events. If not pre-registered, contestants may not be able to participate in those events that fill up to field capacity.

Q: How do you Pre-Register for the shoot?
A: The current year's Pre-Registration forms are located in the State Shoot Info. page of this website, when they come available from the host club.

Q: What time do you have to check-in before you shoot?
A: The whole team or individual (if it's not a team event) need to check-in at registration 1 hour prior to their shooting time and report to the range 30 min. prior to their shooting time.

Q: Is eye and ear protection required for firearm events?
A: Yes, mandatory, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Q: We have both male and female shooters on our team, what class are we in?
A:Teams with both male and female members are not eligible for gender class awards. Teams with members of different adult ages are eligible only for Men’s or Ladies classes. Junior teams with Sub-Junior members are only eligible for Junior class.
